What the Press has to say

The All-New, All-Electric Mazda 6e was put to an arduous test when automotive media attended the first local drive at the iconic Lang Lang Proving Ground.

Located in the lush greenery of Victoria’s South-East, the Lang Lang Proving Ground stands as the ultimate test for motor vehicles. An international pre-production Mazda 6e was the chariot for the day, and media were invited to put it through its paces. From railway crossings and corrugated roads, to potholes and gravel roads, there was a plethora of real-world simulations… And we didn’t hold back.

Journalist applauded the Mazda 6e’s impressively plush and feature-packed interior, as well as the wallet-friendly price point. The Mazda 6e’s drive was also complemented with commendation of driving stability and ride comfort – marking the Mazda 6e as a very promising proposition when it arrives in 2026.

Here’s a sample of what the Australian media had to say about the Mazda 6e:

“If you’re talking about a starting price of around that $55,000 mark, this is quite a welcome look and something that I think will resonate well with the market” - CarExpert

“What I am sure about is the fact that this feels refined and it feels comfortable and it feels like exactly what it needs to be for the type of buyer who is going to considering this type of car” – The Right Car

“We reached 170km/h – and the cabin remained impressively calm - with minimal wind and road noise, it felt more like 90km/h, showcasing just how stable the 6e is at warp speed” - Carsales

“Steering calibration and damping tune are also expected to receive further tweaks before Australian on-sale in the second quarter of 2026, but for now, signs are promising” – Chasing Cars

“Mazda held little back, offering rough roads, gravel, corrugations, and the famed high-speed bowl to demonstrate how the Mazda 6e will hold up to some of the worst conditions Australian roads have to offer… Over the roughest sections of the Lang Lang proving ground, the Mazda 6e stayed unwaveringly comfortable” – Drive

“ the 6e looks great with the kind of striking exterior and luxurious interior to properly turn heads” - NRMA

“With a quality finish, a reasonable list price, acceptable driving range, and loads of useful tech, there are more than enough reasons to see the positives the 6e has to offer” – Go Auto
